A428 Black Cat – Caxton Gibbet

JG Engineering has been appointed to carry out regular drone surveys of an 18 km bypass road on the National Highways A428 Black Cat – Caxton Gibbet scheme. The project involves carrying out regular drone surveys of the earthworks cut/fill working areas and stockpiles. This involves the planning of flights, carrying out flight missions on site, closing out flights and processing the data into a 2D and 3D point cloud along with a 3D mesh format. This is to assist the client in tracking earthworks volumes throughout the job whilst also giving them a visual timeline of the project as works progress.
